- After you pay, LAU emails your portal login within 3 to 10 working days. You follow your application and decision there.

Good to know
- Engineering: Lebanese Bac GS or LS students apply directly.
- Architecture and design: your Grade 10 and 11 averages must be 10% above your school's average.
- Nursing as a Freshman needs an SAT total of 850 or more.
- Medicine is not a first-year major. You finish a bachelor's with the pre-med courses, then take the MCAT.

FAQ
What SAT score do I need for LAU?
LAU publishes no minimum SAT total. What it does publish is English: 460 in SAT English is the minimum, and 520 lets you skip the remedial English course.
What happens if my SAT English is below 460?
With 400 to 450 you start in the Intensive English Program and cannot take major courses until you finish it. You can avoid that by scoring 102 on the EEE, 80 on TOEFL, 6.5 on IELTS or 115 on Duolingo.
Can I use TOEFL or IELTS instead of the SAT English score?
For English, yes: any one of SAT English, EEE, TOEFL iBT, IELTS, Duolingo or ACT works. You still need the SAT itself for admission.
Does LAU give an SAT scholarship?
Yes. LAU lists an SAT scholarship worth 50% of tuition for newly admitted students, given automatically. The score needed is not published.
What is the difference between Freshman and Sophomore?
A Sophomore starts directly in a 3-year major. A Freshman does a foundation year first, so 4 years in total. Your school program decides which one you are: Lebanese Bac, French Bac, IB Diploma, Technical Bac and Tawjihi enter as Sophomore; American high school and O Levels enter as Freshman.
Can I take the SAT at LAU?
Yes. LAU's Beirut campus is an official College Board SAT test center. You still register on the College Board site.
