This page explains what solv.sat collects when you use it, why, who can see it, and how to delete it.

What we collect when you sign up

You sign in with Google or with a 6-digit code sent to your email. There is no password. When you create your account we ask for:

  • your first and last name, email, phone number and school
  • your graduation year, SAT test date, past SAT scores and target score

You can also add your date of birth in Settings. It is optional.

What is saved while you use the platform

  • Your answers, the time you spend on each question, and the sessions and assignments you complete.
  • Questions you save or report, and words you practice in the vocabulary trainer.
  • Messages you send and your friend list.
  • When you are online and which page of the platform you are on.
  • If you turn on notifications, the address your browser gives for push notifications.

How we use it

To run your account and show your progress, to let your tutor assign work and follow how you are doing, and to email you about your account and new assignments.

We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't use analytics or ad trackers.

Who can see it

  • Your tutor sees your account details, answers, progress, messages you send to the tutor and in study rooms, and your friend list. Some activity, such as starting a session or sending a message, is also sent to the tutor as a Telegram notification, including the first part of the message.
  • Other students see only your name and what you share with them: your messages and your answers in study rooms and live classes you join.
  • We don't share your data with anyone else, except the services below that run the platform.

Services we use

  • Supabase: database and sign-in. The database is on servers in Frankfurt, Germany.
  • Vercel: website hosting.
  • Resend: emails.
  • Google: "Sign in with Google" if you choose it, and fonts.
  • Desmos: the graphing calculator.
  • Telegram: notifications to the tutor.
  • Your browser's push service, if you turn on notifications.

Where your data is stored and how it is protected

The database is in Frankfurt, Germany, and the services above may handle data in other countries, including the United States. Data is sent over encrypted connections, and access is limited to the services that run the platform. No system is fully secure, so we can't promise that data will never be exposed.

Cookies

We use cookies and your browser's storage to keep you signed in and remember a few settings, such as layout. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Reviews

If you send a review through the feedback page, we save what you enter, including your name, scores, review and screenshots. By sending it you agree we may show it on the website after we approve it, and we may shorten the text or crop the screenshots. To prevent spam we store a scrambled code made from your internet address, not the address itself.

Students under 18

You must be at least 13 to create an account. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian first. A parent or guardian can ask us to see or delete their child's data on WhatsApp (+961 76 316 464).

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your account exists. To see, correct or delete it, message us on WhatsApp (+961 76 316 464). Deleting your account removes your profile, answers, progress and messages. Reviews you sent are kept unless you ask us to remove them too.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, we update the date at the top. solv.sat is operated by Sami Sanyoura in Beirut, Lebanon. Questions about your data: WhatsApp (+961 76 316 464).
